A self initiated project built on the principle and importance of practise and experimentation within your craft.
I am constantly reading and researching art and design related books and blogs, and often find myself discovering new techniques and methods of applying art and/or design that I have never done myself. I find myself adding these to a never ending imaginary list of design-related “things to do”, however seldom carry these out due to not finding the time.
This project was established with the aim of finally tackling this list of to-do’s, creating work using different techniques such as calligraffiti, and using different materials and practises such as projector installations and model making. Furthermore, it will help to reinstate the importance of practising and experimentation within your craft; there are so many ways to create art and design, and getting experimental and creative is, I believe, fundamental in the creation of new, exciting and unique work.
